How To Embed Adsense Ads In Blogger Posts

Often, we want to embed our Adsense code at the desired place in and around our blogger post. Novice bloggers with little or no knowledge of CSS may find it difficult to place the Adsense ads at the desired place. Blogger has limited options and place your ads at predetermined positions. For example, if you want to place an ad just below the heading of your post, it does not give you that liberty to do it. If you will try to put the code in your post from within the post editor, it will not work at all and will appear as plain text in your post. There are few simple techniques that enable you to place these ads at the location you want it to appear.

Save your template

Before implementing any changes in your template, it is very important to save it. In case some mishap occurs you can easily restore your original template. To save your blogger template first go to Layout tab and select Edit HTML sub-tab. Click the Download Full Template link and save the template on your PC.

Step by step procedure

Generate the Adsense code from your account and open the Ad Parser. Paste the ad code in the box and press Parse button. Copy the parsed code and save it in any text editor. The parsing process is very simple and is based on 3 simple replacement rules.

1) < is replaced by &lt;
2) > is replaced by &gt;
3) " is replaced by &quot;

How to deploy the Google Chrome MSI and apply group policies in Windows

Google Chrome is becoming most popular browser & widely used due to its easy navigation & fast speed. We will see now How to deploy the Google Chrome MSI and apply/import group policy Settings in Windows.

To quickly deploy and configure Google Chrome on a windows network, you can deploy the Chrome MSI and apply group policies. Follow these steps:
  1. Download the Google Chrome MSI.
The MSI installer is a standalone installer. Google Chrome is bundled inside and installs without an internet connection. The MSI installs Chrome at the system level, so all users on a machine will use the same instance of Chrome.
  1. Download the policy templates.
There are two types of templates available, an ADM and an ADMX template. You'll need to verify which template type you can use on your network. These templates show you which registry keys you can set to configure Chrome, and what the acceptable values are. Chrome looks at the values set in these registry keys to determine how to act.

How to test adsense ads without creating invalid impressions

How do I test adsense ads without any fear of invalid impressions?

Those who are adsense publisher would understand that it requires a lot of testing and retesting before arriving at that perfect layout for your ads. This testing might lead to a lots of unwanted impressions (that are against adsense TOS). Here are the two ways, I test my adsense ads without fear of invalid/excess impressions.
1) Use images exactly of the same size of the ad you are going to use. Pick the adsense images here.
2) Many a times you might want to check the layout rendered after the actual javascript is executed. Add a parameter google_adtest = “on”; to your adsense code and place it where you want to intend to put the actual code. For ex: If your adsense code is-
<script type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "pub-****************";
/* 200x200, created 08/08/08 */
google_ad_slot = "12345678";
google_ad_width = 200;
google_ad_height = 200;
<script type="text/javascript"
The code after adding the parameter would become-
<script type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "pub-****************";
/* 200x200, created 08/08/08 */
google_ad_slot = "12345678";
google_ad_width = 200;
google_ad_height = 200;
google_adtest = "on";
<script type="text/javascript"
With google_adtest=”on” , though you will see the ads related to your content, no impression or ad click will be added to your account and hence you are safe. I guess you must be wondering that Google adsense TOS does not allow any change of code then how come I am doing it. I have verified this from the Google Adsense team and they are ok with it.

How to redirect a Blog to other blog or web address

What would have happened if there was absolutely no way to redirect a blog to another. I initially intended to make a different blog under a sub domain but changed my mind due to certain reasons. I was worried about the traffic I was going to lose and decided to search online just to make a little research. I came up with a little trick which I'm gonna share here, who knows, someone else might searching for same.

To redirect one blogspot blog to another needs no complex codes, simply copy and pasted the code below in the HEAD section of your template by folowing these steps:

* Login to your blogger account and click on Design > Edit HTML

* Now Press CTRL = F and serch for </head>

* Paste the following code just above this

<meta HTTP-EQUIV='REFRESH' content='0; url='/>

<meta content='NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW' name='ROBOTS'/>

Please change my-new-blog-adress to your own new address.

content='0 as shown in the code determines how long (in seconds) your visitors will stay on the old blog before being redirected. I set it to Zero; you might wanna change it depending on your choice.

Also <meta content='NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW' name='ROBOTS'/> tells search engines to stop indexing posts on your old blog. This prevents your new blog from being penalize by google for duplicate content as pages indexed on the old blog will be removed in due time.

SEO Vs SEM What's The Difference?

Search Engine Optimization Vs. Search Engine Marketing: What's The Difference?
SEO and SEM are two terms that are commonly bandied about by webmasters. Sometimes it seems as if the two terms are used almost interchangeably. But is there a difference, and if so, what is it?

In fact, there is a difference. SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. It refers to anything you do to your page to make it more search engine friendly. SEM stands for Search Engine Marketing. It forms a sort of umbrella term that can refer to anything you do to get your page ranked higher in search engines, from search engine optimization to requesting backlinks to submitting your URL to search engines.

New Android Trojan that can record voice calls

If you are using a smartphone with Android, then you need to be on the guard. A researcher with Computer Associates has spotted a Trojan for the Google Android platform that is capable of quietly recording user's phone calls for possible misuse at a later stage.
This is not the first time that Android has had a problem with Trojan applications. In the past too there have been instances where cyber criminals have gotten hold of a popular Android app and modified it to include a malicious payload. After that the infected app gets re-uploaded at the marketplace.
As soon as a user downloads the infected app, his or her device becomes ready to share all kinds of details with the Trojan’s creator. Text messages, call and contact information, and, as the present case has show, even complete audio recordings can get leaked. The Trojan records audio in AMR format.
This is a recent malware that targets the Android platform. This Trojan like many typical social engineering Trojans, comes bundled with a game. The credit for discovering it goes to Prof. Xuxian Jiang. The audio that the Trojan records gets stored in the mobile’s microSD card.

How to password protect a share folder on domain

If your looking to password protect a shared folder on your network / domain, you've probably noticed that Windows XP doesn't have any built in features allowing you to lock access to a folder via a password like previous Windows releases did. This means that anyone using the same workgroup or domain can access the files within your shared folder.

But nothing is impossible, good news is that there is a work around ,the trick and simply involves creating a password for the guest account no third party software needed. Since shared folders are accessed on the network using the guest account, once the password for the guest account is set, a user in your workgroup or network domain must supply a valid username and password for the guest account to access the shared folder and contents within.

Password protecting a shared network folder:
  1. Log into Windows XP as an Administrator
  2. Click Start -> Control Panel -> User Accounts, then click on Guest Account and make sure it is turned on
  3. Now Click Start -> Run, type cmd in the entry box, and click Ok
  4. At the command prompt, type Net user guest password and press Enter
  5. Again, Click Start -> Control Panel -> User Accounts, then click on Guest Account
    Notice that you can now set a password on the Guest Account. Set a Password and restart your Computer

Set a Guest Password to password protect shared folder

Now, when ever a person tires to access your shared folder, he/she will be prompted for a username and password to continue. Use the username "Guest" and "password" you have set to access the password protected shared folders from your network.

Arrow keys scroll instead of changing cells in MS Excel

Problem Notified.

Arrow keys scroll instead of changing cells in MS Excel

Today I opened up Excel and stumbled up with problem. When i tried to move across cells with the arrow keys. Instead of moving across cells, the page was getting scrolled as if I was hitting the scroll bar with mouse. The active cell did not move, it would just scroll off the page.

Enter and tab key combination was still work to move the cell down/to the right, respectively (and shift enter moves up). When I go into a cell and try to enter a formula, it still scrolls instead of moving to the reference cell when pressing the arrow keys (but I can select the cell with the mouse).

I played with the options but there was nothing that I could find. Does anyone experienced this before?

Any advice would be appreciated.

The symptom above is Behavior of Excel when scroll lock is ON.
When scroll lock is On; you can not not change the cell with arrow keys instead it will scroll page.
check removeing the scrool lock.
it will work out 100 % .

How to mount ISO in solaris & resolve error (iso is not a multiple of 512)

Many software packages download are in the form of an ISO image. Rather than burning the image to a CD-ROM to access its contents, it is easy to mount the image directly into the Solaris file-system using the lofiadm and mount commands.

Given an ISO image in /export/temp/Compusoft.iso, a loopback file device (/dev/lofi/1) is created with the following command:
#lofiadm -a /export/temp/Compusoft.iso
The lofi device creates a block device version of a file. This block device can be mounted to /mnt with the following command:
#mount -F hsfs -o ro /dev/lofi/1 /mnt
These commands can be combined into a single command:
#mount -F hsfs -o ro `lofiadm -a /export/temp/Compusoft.iso` /mnt
Sometimes when you convert image from .nrg to .iso & converted image is not a multiple of 512 bytes. lofiadm refuses.

Unmount and detach the images

Use umount command to unmount image:
#umount /mnt
Now remove/free block device:
#lofiadm -d /dev/lofi/1
# lofiadm -a  /export/temp/Compusoft.iso
lofiadm: size of  /export/temp/Compusoft.iso  is not a multiple of 512
# cd /export/temp
# dd if=./Compusoft.iso of=./Compusoftnew.iso obs=512 conv=sync
# lofiadm -a  /export/temp/Compusoftnew.iso
# mount -F hsfs -o ro /dev/lofi/1 /mnt

Solaris10 UNIX: How to Configure DNS Client / name server

How do you set DNS namserver under Sun Solaris UNIX system?

The resolver is a set of routines in the C library that provide access to the Internet Domain Name System (DNS). The resolver configuration file contains information that is read by the resolver routines the first time they are invoked by a process. The file is designed to be human readable and contains a list of keywords with values that provide various types of resolver information.
Internet address (in dot notation) of a name server that the resolver should query. Up to MAXNS (currently 3, see ) name servers may be listed, one per keyword. If there are multiple servers, the resolver library queries them in the order listed. To configure Solaris nameserver edit or modify /etc/resolv.conf file.

DNS Client Setup

First Create the file called /etc/resolv.conf - which includes the primary and secondary DNS server IP address for Solaris system, it can be your own DNS server or your ISPs DNS server:
# touch /etc/resolv.conf
Open /etc/resolv.conf using vi text editor:
# vi /etc/resolv.conf
Add the following lines to it:
  • nameserver IP : It is IP of first DNS server
  • search : Default domain name to search. For example, if you type command nslookup www, it will search it as
2) Enable the name resolving using DNS as follows:
# cp /etc/nsswitch.dns /etc/nsswitch.conf
3) Test new name server by running the nslookup command as follows:
# nslookup
# /usr/sfw/sbin/nslookup
