Can't add to favorites in Windows Explorer

Problem Description: I did Clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate. However, I noticed that I cannot add any items under the favorites "star" icon that can be found on the left pane in windows explorer.

I tried drag & drop and "add current location to Favorites" but nothing works. I'm not getting any error either which is weird.

SEO: Remove your blog name from the title of Blogger Blog

One thing that has bothered me for a while is the fact that every one of my blog post page titles starts with the blog name.

Repeating your blog title on every post page is bad for SEO.
Blogger doesn't have a built in option for this but it's easy to fix with a few lines of code.

Go to your Blogger CP and select edit html.
Find the string:

<title><data:blog.pageTitle/></title>

Replace it with:

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == "index"'>
<title><data:blog.title/></title>
<b:else/>
<title><data:blog.pageName/></title>
</b:if>

You Blogger blog will now be better optimized for search engines and users.

13 Easy Steps to Install IIS 7 and Setup a Static Website

IIS 7 in Windows Server 2008 is a completely different entity than it has been in the past. Why to install IIS? The most common answer is because you need a web server that is easy to configure and work with.

Finally Microsoft have created a version of IIS that will compete against Apache for functionality and performance. IIS 7 is a giant step forward for the IIS platform with the following enhancements:

Modular Design – In the past it was an all or nothing install for IIS, but not so anymore. With the ability to only load the modules that you need for server operation you increase both performance and security
New Management Interface – IIS 7 has a completely new interface that allows you to quickly and easily change the settings you need to for each site. Also in this version is the ability to edit all the website settings in a text based configuration file
Share tasks with site owners – If you are hosting multiple sites you can delegate administrative control to developers or content owners
In this article we will explore installing and enabling the basic features of IIS 7 and placing a static website into service. For this article, I will assume that you have installed Server 2008 and know how to launch Server Manager.

Tab key on the keyboard not working in Windows 7

Are you having problems with your tab key in Windows 7? I know I am! My desktop machine runs Windows 7 64-bit and has been working fine for a months until a few days ago. Suddenly, the tab key would not move me to the next form field in an online form. I though it was odd, so I restarted the browser and it worked once, but then stopped randomly a little while later.
I thought it was isolated to the browser, but quickly realized I was having the same tab issue in Word, Outlook and Quickbooks. What a royal pain! I didn’t realize how much I used the tab key until it stopped working! Anyway, after doing some research and messing around with stuff, I figured out what the problem was. In this article, I’ll try to write out the different possible solutions and hopefully your tab key will start functioning properly again.
I quickly managed to rule out hardware issues like the keyboard because I switched the keyboard and still had the same problem. This issue is normally a software issue and it’s caused by other programs interfering with the keyboard input or with other programs.

ADB CP Command not found

How to use CP command in Android Debug Bridge (adb)?

Recently I root my android and I am trying to use the CP command to copy files from the system and data folders and althought im logged in as SU to the terminal but I keep getting :

CP: Not found.

The solutions is you need to have busybox tools installed in your mobile.

You can check if its there or not by using busybox commands.

cp is built in command but not symbolic linked.

Instead of just:
cp abc def
use:
busybox cp abc def

If you find busybox not found error then you will need to install the busybox shell tools to your Android device.

To Install busybox

- Download busybox

- Type 'adb remount'
- Type 'adb push busybox /system/xbin/busybox'
- Type 'adb shell chmod 4755 /system/xbin/busybox'
- Type 'adb shell /system/xbin/busybox --install -s /system/xbin/'

When I Google & searched for solution, I didn't find any proper solution. Even Logmein community portal http://community.logmein.com doesn't include any proper KB on this.

Cloud Computing Interview Questions and Answers

How does cloud computing provides on-demand functionality?
Cloud computing is a metaphor used for internet. It provides on-demand access to virtualized IT resources that can be shared by others or subscribed by you. It provides an easy way to provide configurable resources by taking it from a shared pool. The pool consists of networks, servers, storage, applications and services.
What is the difference between scalability and elasticity?
Scalability is a characteristic of cloud computing through which increasing workload can be handled by increasing in proportion the amount of resource capacity. It allows the architecture to provide on demand resources if the requirement is being raised by the traffic. Whereas, elasticity is being one of the characteristic provide the concept of commissioning and decommissioning of large amount of resource capacity dynamically. It is measured by the speed by which the resources are coming on demand and the usage of the resources.

Citrix XenApp Interview Questions and Answers Part3

QUESTION: 51
Scenario: The IT administrator at an online education institution manages a XenApp farm
that provides access to lectures and other class materials. The students and faculty
members connect to the XenApp farm published applications from remote computers that
are NOT part of the corporate Active Directory domain. Each student and faculty stuff
member is assigned a unique set of Active Directory credentials with a password
expiration policy of 15 days. The administrator needs to allow users to change their
passwords from the Web Interface site since the computers are NOT part of the domain.
In order to configure the Web Interface to allow students and faculty members to change
their passwords from the Web Interface site, the administrator could allow users to
change expired passwords by contacting the ________. (Choose the correct option to

Citrix XenApp Interview Questions and Answers Part2

QUESTION: 1
Scenario: A XenApp administrator must recommend a database option for the new
XenApp 6.5 data store. The new farm will have more than 100 XenApp servers and 500

Creating Multiple Home Directories with Custom Permissions

In this post we will see a way to create multiple home directories, remove inherited permissions, remove other users, and then give the user write access to the folder.
1.

Create Share for Home Directories

On your file server, create a share that will hold all your home directories. Be sure to allow Domain Users to have read access to this share
2.

Get a list of all users

We wanted the home directories to have the same name as the user's login name. I was able to export a list from Active Directory of all the login names. Save this as a text file with the name file.txt
3.

Batch file to create directories

Make a batch file with the following lines to create the home directories:
@echo off
for /f %%i in (file.txt) do mkdir %%i
Place this batch file in the root of the share along with the file.txt. Run the batch to create the folders.
4.

Removing Inheritance

We don't want user's to be able to see the contents of other user's home directories. First we need to break inheritance. I found a program called SetACL and it can be found at http://files.helgeklein.com/downloads/SetACL/current/SetACL%20(executable%20version).zip

Modify the batch file you created and remove "mkdir %%i" and place the following in its place:

setacl -on %%i -ot file -actn setprot -op “dacl:p_c”

Linux File and Directory Permissions

file & directory protection is a essential of any OS and Linux OS is no exception for it!

These authorizations allow you to choose exactly who can access your files & directory, providing an overall improved system security. There was one of the major flaws in the older Windows operating-system where, by standard, all users can see each other people's information (Windows 95, 98, Me).

For overcoming it, editions of the Windows based computer system such as NT, 2000, XP and 2003 lot more security features added. They fully support file & directory permissions, just as Linux system has since the beginning.

Together, we'll now assess a directory listing from our Lab Linux system hosting server, to help us understand the information provided.
a simple 'ls' command will give you the file and directory listing within a given directory, including the option
'-l' will display number of new areas that we are going to discuss here:
